The Olympics-history-geography-economics
This term our focus in Big Idea is, The Olympics. With a sub focus in Histroy, Geography and Economics. The first week of term we were tuned into the topic by completing 5 rotations. These included Olympic History,British and Eurpoean History,Australian History,geography and economics. I wasn’t here for every rotation exept for one, that one was Australian History and I learnt that in 1954 the olympics were heald in the MCG in Melbourne which is close to where i live.

For the rest of the term I am going to follow my interests to link in with our topic of The Olympics and complete 3 tasks that I have negotiated with a 5/6 teacher.

Task 1 History-I am going to complete a book about table tennis that has 6 pages with topics of Bat,Ball,Table,why I love table tennis, how to play table tennis and table tennis players.

Task 2 Geography-I am going to creat a map of the track of the 1956 olympic marathon and then I will write the directions

Task 3 economics -I will complete a persuasive peace on how much money should be spent on the olympics.

To get these task completed I need to

Task 1
I need to get all me infomation for my pages, I need to write all the infomation in each page and get all my pieces of paper.

Task 2
I need to get on the internet or a book an find out where the events were and then i need to write and draw where all the events were in the 1954 olympics.

Task 3
I need to plan all my ideas for my text and then draft it, I Wll then type it up on word doc and then print it out, stick it on a coulerd piece of paper and the decerate.

My progres each week 3-4
I have finished my Persuasive piece and decerated it, i have started my table tennis book .

I have finished my table tennis book and I am half way through my map of the 1956 olympic marathon and have finished the percuasive text. I am happy with my progress and i think i will finish this before the expo.
